Daniel Galindo serves as Assistant Vice President and Director of CRA Strategic Initiatives with Woodforest National Bank. Daniel is responsible for the development, implementation, expansion, and direct oversight of ground-breaking strategic initiatives in the areas of lending, investments, and service throughout Woodforest’s 17 state footprint. Daniel has over 12 years of combined community banking, community and economic development experience. A mission driven individual, passionate to serve communities around the various challenges, while implementing forward-thinking strategies.
Most recently, Daniel worked with the National Council of La Raza (NCLR), the largest Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization in the country, where he was responsible for conceptualizing, implementing, and replicating policy around housing programs, federal grant financial management, technical assistance in strategy development, project finance, and capital leverage across a network of 50 community development organizations.
Daniel has been a strong advocate of banking financial inclusion, access to capital in underserved communities, small business development and entrepreneurship. Daniel works closely with Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) across the nation to support credit and trusted guidance access for underserved businesses. He currently serves on the board of directors of San Antonio’s premier and largest Affordable Housing provider, Alamo Community Group. Daniel also serves on the Moving to Work (MTW) advisory board of the San Antonio Housing Authority.
Daniel is a longtime resident of San Antonio and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Texas A&M University.
