Enrique Torres

Enrique is President and Co-owner of Excellent Fruit & Produce Inc. (d/b/a EFAP). EFAP is a produce distribution company located in Miami and operates in Southeast Florida. As a food service company, it delivers fresh fruits, fresh vegetables and fresh herbs to kitchens at restaurants, hotels and hospitals. EFAP also exports produce to Central America and the Caribbean and holds contracts with local and federal government agencies to serve their produce needs. Enrique was a scholar in the inaugural Cohort of Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses at Miami Dade College graduating in May 2014. Two years after graduating, his revenues have doubled and he has increased employment by 63%. He projects that by November 2016, or 30 months after graduation, he will have reached $4.7 million in revenue, accomplishing his four year goal.

Prior to joining EFAP, Enrique was a consultant for six years at NERA (National Economic Research Associates), a Boston-based consulting firm of Economists, where he worked in economic and regulatory issues and managed projects in distribution, transportation and storage in more than a dozen Countries. Enrique holds a BS in Industrial Engineering, a Masters in Economic from Uniandes in Bogotá, and a Masters Degree in Research Methods from the London School of Economics.
