Pedro Maldonado is currently the Director of Merchandising for CVS pharmacy y más. In this role Pedro has responsibility for front store merchandising decisions for the 33 y más stores as well as maintaining the multicultural initiatives for CVS Pharmacy with current programs in more than 2,000 stores.
Pedro has been with CVS Pharmacy for almost 4 years, he has been instrumental on the development of the Hispanic strategy for CVS Pharmacy. Over the course of his 15 year career Pedro has developed Hispanic focused merchandising and marketing programs for larger retail organizations. Before joining CVS Pharmacy Pedro worked at Central Grocers, Inc. where he started what is now one of the largest distribution programs of Hispanic products in the country. Pedro is passionate about the US Hispanic Market and has given multiple talks on this subject including 2016 NCLR, US Federal Reserve Bank Chicago Branch, and Mexico’s Secretaria de Hacienda y Credito Publico. He has received numerous professional honors including being named in 2016 as one of the top 20 Hispanic Marketing Professionals by Latino Leaders Magazine.
Pedro received his undergraduate degree from Tecnologico de Monterrey in Mexico and an MBA from Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management.
